The Bay of Fundy is vast. The tides rise and fall over 20 feet. The underwater landscape is complex with ridges, valleys at various depths. There is a great abundance of Whale food which get stirred up twice each day as the mighty currents necessary to create the Bay’s enormous tides interact with its underwater topography. And the results are many Whales.
